Bhagirathi River Rafting Tour in India Home ›› Rafting ›› Bhagirathi

Experience five days of frolicking fun and nature at its very best; riding the waves, traversing through gorges and charming villages, camping on beaches of silver sand, sighting elusive wildlife and much more. And the best part is you don't need prior rafting experience or be an expert swimmer, just a bundle of spirit and a love for the outdoors.

So… All you got to do is get off the couch and get the gang together. Pack your bags and get ready for a jamming session. For the novice or the seasoned, the river plays many a tune.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Post lunch all the 'victims' will assemble for a rafting drill. Get the hang of the basics and listen up carefully to your guide. Chill Out for the rest of the evening at the camp and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

DAY 2: Early in the morning for Zero Point, Tehri (our put in point) and get set for a roller coaster ride, the fun now starts seriously. Today you encounter a series of Technical class II & II+ rapids. In the evening set up camp on one of the unheard and untouched sandy beaches. We guarantee a starry night and a roaring bonfire to set the mood, not to mention the food.

DAY 3: By now all the white water butterflies would have taken flight (or so we hope!!!). Today we traverse through a beautiful gorge section negotiating class II - IV rapids. We will do the Rocky, Elephant rock, The Fall & Confluence rapids. Today we camp at Deoprayag or Beasghat.

DAY 4: This day you'll be spending more time off the raft than on it (don't worry, the raft ain't flipping… not yet!!). We'll be going through a gorge section of placid waters. End the day with your tryst with 'Daniel's Dip' (A grade III rapid). Another night, another beach & more friends.

DAY 5: Kaudiyala - Rishikesh
Today it's going to be a white water carnival all the way. "The Wall" at the forefront and it has nothing to do with Roger Waters, but waters that can "roger" you!!!! Heavy duty Grade IV white water to be followed by "The Three Blind Mice", "Crossfire", "Return to Sender" in the morning session. Have lunch at Camp Rapid Descent.
Its not over yet... but trust us the rest of the run is going to be a cakewalk. Tame the " Roller Coaster" and the much talked about "Golf Course", certification of your pro status. This exciting voyage comes to an end at Rishikesh (pull out point). Load the rafts onto the jeeps and head back for camp Rapid Descent. Celebrate the successful completion of this adventure trip. For people short on time, they can depart for Delhi in the evening.
