DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 01
:
Manali - Darcha (3400m)

Arrive at Manali the day before.
Early in the morning drive to Darcha. This drive will take about 7 hrs. Overnight in tents.

Day 02
:
Darcha - Palamu (3600m)
Trek to Palamu 12 kms. Easy & gradual ascent to Palamu. Overnight in tents.
Day 03
:
Palamu - Zanskar Sumdo (3750m)
Trek to Zanskar Sumdo 14 kms, cross the river by a trolley just before the camp. Overnight in tents.
Day 04
:
Zanskar Sumdo - Chumi Napko (4060m)
Trek to Chumi Napko 14 kms. Overnight in tents.
Day 05
:
Chumi Napko- Lakham (4100m)
Trek to Lakham by crossing Shingo La (5100 M) 16 km. Overnight in tents.
Day 06
:
Lakham - Kurgiak (4000m)
Trek to Kurgiak 14 km. Overnight in tents.
Day 07
:
Kurgiak - Bepul (3960m)
Trek to Bepul 14 km. Overnight in tents.
Day 08
:
Bepul - Purne (3700m)
Trek to Prune 12 Km. Overnight in tents.
Day 09
:
Prune - Phutkal - Prune
Today trek up to Phutkal Gompa and in the evening return back to camp. Overnight in tents.
Day 10
:
Prune – Mune (3650m)  
Trek to Mune 12 km. Overnight in tents.  
Day 11
:
Mune - Padum (3560m)  
Trek to Padum 12 kms. Overnight in tents.  
Day 12
:
Padum - Kargil (2700m)  
Drive to Kargil. Enroute visit Rangdum Gompa. overnight in a Hotel.  
Day 13
:
Kargil – Leh (3350m)  

Drive to Leh enroute visit Lamayuru Monastery. Overnight in a hotel. Take flight back to your next destination, the next day.

Accommodation in Manali should be easily available on walk-in basis, varying all the way from Rs. 800- 4000 per night.

Carry your stuff in a duffel bag, soft shoulder bag or a rucksack. Avoid suitcases, trolleys or any other hard luggage. Also carry a small knapsack to carry your personal items like cameras, water bottles, etc. while walking during the day. Each person should carry a maximum of 15 kgs of luggage on the trek.
